Kitchen Assistant

Summer Seasonal Contract. No previous experience required as full training provided.

For over 50 years, Longleat has been one of the UK’s most loved attractions. With almost one million guests every year, we are passionate about providing wondrous and immersive experiences that lead to lifelong memories.

During peak months, the Food and Beverage and Kitchen teams can regularly cater for approximately 8000 guests per day across multiple units, so good preparation is key!

What will this role of Kitchen Assistant entail?

You’ll be in the midst of the kitchen action and get to experience what it’s really like working in a fast-paced, high volume kitchen environment. You’ll prepare and cook high quality produce and maintain the cleanliness of food production work areas, equipment and utensils.

What will I need to be considered for this Kitchen Assistant vacancy?

  • Good team player with the ability to remain calm and efficient under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills with a confident, mature and friendly nature
  • Be honest, reliable and committed, and enjoy responsibility and exceeding expectations
  • Flexible to work extra hours / weekends as required
Although not essential, previous experience within the hospitality industry in a fast-paced kitchen environment would be highly advantageous.

Contract: Fixed term contract to cover the summer season although contract extensions to the end of the season may be available. Working hours to vary on a 7-day rota basis – earliest rota’d start time from 9am, and latest finish time up to 8pm.

Please note, due to the nature of the business evenings and weekend work will be required, including bank holidays.

Location: Warminster, Wiltshire.
