We have an exciting opportunity in our Finance Department for a Financial Accountant.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Financial Accountant will support the Chief Financial Officer with ensuring the Longleat Estate/Trust accounts comply with all statutory and regulatory requirements as well as being accurate and reconciled in a timely basis.
Duties will include the preparation of Estate management accounts and financial reports including P&L, balance sheet reconciliations, fixed asses registers and cash flow report. Duties also include, annual budget forecasting and the management of appropriate relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, banking contacts and trustees.
This role will be providing expertise to the business with tax planning and legislative requirements, as well as expert support on Corporate governance and data protection compliance.

The ideal candidate should be educated to a degree level with a full professional accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) as well as previous work experience as an accountant with up to date knowledge of trust accounting requirements. We are also looking for someone with excellent knowledge of a range of financial software packages, with high level of analytical and problem solving skills using exceptional IT and communication skills.
HOURS OF WORK
The role is full time permanent position working 37.5 hours a week, 5 days out of 7 and primarily Monday to Friday. A degree of flexibility is required to ensure core objectives are achieved with some out of hours work and travel may be required during times of peak activity.
