Despite its established reputation, the business constantly strives to educate, excite and inspire guests – from hosting the UK’s largest ever hot air balloon gathering, to celebrating its Festival of Light; the first and biggest event of its kind in the UK, with a total of 3,000 spectacular Chinese lanterns transforming the night-time sky.

What will this role of Guest Engagement Team Member entail?

As a Guest Engagement Team Member you’ll deliver an outstanding front-line customer service experience to our guests. Ensuring an efficient, cheerful and courteous service, you’ll respond to all guest queries in person, via e-mail, social media or by telephone, to guarantee the best experience possible. Where appropriate, you’ll also enhance revenue through upselling and cross-selling when engaging with guests and helping them make informed decisions about their visit.

What will I need to be considered for this Guest Engagement Team Member vacancy?
  • Proven experience in a customer service environment, ideally gained within a leisure / attraction style environment
  • Good level of numeracy and literacy, to a minimum level of GSCE grade C
  • Passion for delivering a first-class customer service
  • Good team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a positive and enthusiastic outlook
  • Honest, reliable and flexible to work weekends as required
  • Full UK Driving Licence
Although not essential, cash handling experience would be highly advantageous.

You will receive a pay rate that exceeds National Minimum Wage / National Living Wage, in addition to a range of attractive benefits that include; 29 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays (pro rata), complimentary tickets to Longleat and Cheddar Gorge, discounts on food and beverages and retail merchandise, along with life assurance cover.

Contract Type: Seasonal (fixed term contract), with winter season due to start early to mid October 2018 until the 6th of January 2019

Hours of Work: Working hours to vary on a 7-day rota basis – earliest rota’d start time from 9am, and latest finish time up to 10pm.

Up to full time hours are available between the 20th of October and the 4th of November. Throughout the remainder of November 3 days per week are available as per site opening Friday / Saturday / Sunday. Longleat will be open 7 days a week in December, at which point full time hours will be available again.

Please note, due to the nature of the business evenings and weekend work will be required during busy periods, including bank holidays.
