Guest Experience House Guide - Theatre / Drama

Steeped in rich history, Longleat House is the ancestral home of the Marquess of Bath. Since its purchase in 1541, fifteen generations of the Thynne family have called Longleat home and together they have amassed an incredible collection of fine art, a wealth of rare English, French and Italian furniture, as well as tens of thousands of historic documents, and seven libraries housing over 44,000 printed books.

As part of Longleat, the House enjoys its share of almost one million guests each year, providing in depth guided house tours and expertly curated house exhibitions to commemorate important events and famous milestones in history. Despite our fantastic collection of valuables, we still place priority on our most valuable asset – the team of dedicated and passionate colleagues that keep the operation running.
