Despite its established reputation, the business constantly strives to educate, excite and inspire guests – from hosting the UK’s largest ever hot air balloon gathering, to celebrating its Festival of Light; the first and biggest event of its kind in the UK, with a total of 3,000 spectacular Chinese lanterns transforming the night-time sky.
What will this role of Cleansing Assistant entail?
As a Cleansing Assistant, you will use your excellent eye for detail and presentation to ensure the cleansing of the park, buildings and open spaces is completed to an excellent standard. Your duties will include:
- Dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping and other cleaning related tasks across the site
- Performing and documenting routine inspection of toilet facilities
- Conducting stock checks of cleaning supplies
- Working in an environmentally friendly manner, using equipment, cleaning materials and resources to efficiently minimise waste
- Proven experience as a cleaner, ideally within a leisure / attraction style environment
- High level of attention to detail and excellent standards of cleanliness
- Good team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a positive and enthusiastic outlook
- Honest and reliable
- Full UK driving licence
Please note, a suitable level of physical fitness will be required to meet the physical demands of the role.

Contract Type: Seasonal (fixed term contract), with winter season due to start early to mid October 2018 until the 6th of January 2019
Hours of Work: Working hours to vary on a 7-day rota basis – earliest rota’d start time from 9am, and latest finish time up to 8pm.
Up to full time hours are available between the 20th of October and the 4th of November. Throughout the remainder of November 3 days per week are available as per site opening Friday / Saturday / Sunday. Longleat will be open 7 days a week in December, at which point full time hours will be available again.
Please note, due to the nature of the business occasional evenings and weekend work will be required.
