What will this role of PR and Social Media Assistant entail?
As the PR and Social Media Assistant, you’ll play a key role in bringing Longleat and Cheddar’s brands to life.
You’ll undertake the day-to-day running of the business’ social media channels, and produce inspiring and engaging video, photography and written content for PR, website and social media. Overseeing and growing the companies Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts will be a key focus, with a following currently in excess of 280,000 across Longleat and Cheddar Gorge & Caves.
From day one you’ll be given real responsibility and be involved in all areas of PR and social media across the Group – from supporting the PR and Media Manager in developing and implementing a strong content plan for the year, to being one of the named contacts for day-to-day liaison with relevant agencies or consultants.
What will I need to be considered for this PR and Social Media Assistant vacancy?
- Proven experience of successfully managing a variety of social media channels for business use
- Educated to degree level in a relevant communications related subject
- Strong analytical skills with experience of using Facebook for Business, Google Analytics etc to optimise activity
- Proven experience of capturing and editing quality video content
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
What will I receive in return?
As the PR and Social Media Assistant, you’ll receive a salary of (GBP) 18,000 to (GBP) 19,000 level dependent on experience.

Contract: Permanent, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am to 5:15pm. Flexibility towards working hours is essential to meet business demands and will include weekends and bank holidays as required.
Location: Longleat (Warminster, Wiltshire)
