What will this role of Gardener / Horticulturalist entail?

Working as a member of the Grounds and Gardens team, as a Gardener / Horticulturalist you’ll make sure the Park is presented to our visitors in a pristine condition throughout the year. You will carry out all aspects of gardening, grounds maintenance and other horticultural work including grass mowing, hedge trimming, bedding maintenance and leaf and litter clearance duties.
You’ll also be involved in renovation work and replacing damaged areas of turf as well as operating and maintaining machinery and equipment.

What will I need to be considered for this Gardener / Horticulturalist vacancy?
  • Proven experience as a professional gardener / horticulturalist, with good knowledge of plants, gardening practices and garden machinery
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational and time management skills

What will I receive in return?

As a Gardener / Horticulturalist you will receive an hourly pay rate of 9.00 (GBP) (equivalent to 18,252 (GBP) per annum), in addition to a range of attractive benefits that include; 29 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays, complimentary tickets to Longleat and Cheddar Gorge and Caves, discounts on food and beverages and retail merchandise, along with life assurance cover and more perks.

Contract: Maternity cover contract until the 28th of February 2020. You’ll work 39 hours per week, 5 days out of 7, within the core hours of 7am and 8pm. Due to the nature of the business, you will be required to work weekends and bank holidays.

Location: Longleat (Warminster, Wiltshire)
