Nestled within Lord Bath’s magnificent Longleat Estate in the village of Horningsham, The Bath Arms (part of the Longleat Enterprises group) is a quintessential country pub and restaurant with 17 quirky bedrooms located in the main property and adjoining annex. Our AA-rosette award-winning gastro pub offers a great British menu filled with home grown, traditional food, which the talented team of Chefs are proud to serve.

What will this role of Head Chef entail?

Leading the busy Kitchen Team, you’ll be responsible for delivering excellent quality food items across all service periods, ensuring the food produced is in line with the company’s ethos and standards, and of a quality and style that will continue to drive the Bath Arms to new heights.

You’ll maintain and develop menus; organise work in the kitchen to ensure a continuously smooth operation; order produce and kitchen equipment; ensure food hygiene standards are always maintained and provide the highest level of service to guests at all times.

What will I need to be considered for this Head Chef vacancy?
  • Proven experience as a Chef, with a Food Hygiene Certificate
  • NVQ Level 3 in Food Production and Cooking or Professional Cookery or equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Be focused on delivering outstanding quality and service
  • Ability to work as part of a team and be an exceptional team player

Contract: Permanent, working a minimum of 48 hours per week 5 days out of 7. Please note, due to the nature of the business evenings and weekend work will be required, including bank holidays.

Location: Horningsham (Warminster, Wiltshire)
