Cheddar Gorge is a world-famous site is an area of outstanding natural beauty and is an international center for caving and rock climbing. We are looking for Rocksport Instructors to join the team at Cheddar Gorge & Caves for an exciting summer period to help us deliver our Rocksport activities.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Our Rocksport Instructors ensure enjoyable and safe delivery of Rocksport activities at Cheddar Gorge and Caves. This is to be achieved by following the agreed standard operating procedures and risk assessments, to deliver a range of Rocksport activities to include Caving, Climbing and other similar outdoor adventurous activities.
This role will assist the Rocksport Manager, Operations Supervisor and Maintenance department where required to ensure the caves and wider gorge is able to operate in a safe and effective manner for the safety and enjoyment of all staff and guests.

The role holder will ideally have experience in Rocksport activities and leading groups in these activities.
We will also consider candidates if you have a passion for Rocksport activities and are willing to train and develop the skills required in the following areas:
In addition to the practical elements of this role there is also an administrative element to the safe running of activities which the post holder will be expected to complete.
This post is subject to undertaking an Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau check (DBS) and Safety Critical Medical Assessment prior to appointment.
HOURS OF WORK
This role is available on a zero hours fixed terms basis until 5th January 2019, hours will vary to include weekend and bank holidays. Start and finish times will be in accordance with opening times and operational needs of the business.
