The multi-unit Food & Beverage department caters for approximately 8000 guests per day during peak months, and consists of quick service outlets offering a variety of cuisine from snacks and pizzas to quick service hot meals.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Kitchen Production Assistant, you will join our busy kitchen team to assist to prepare and cook high quality items, maintain the food production work areas, equipment and utensils in a clean and orderly condition and to comply with Health and Safety Legislation.
You will ensure the guests' requirements are always met and naturally seek out opportunities to exceed their expectations, ensuring prompt and professional attention. This is a great opportunity to experience working in a fast paced, high volume kitchen as part of a strong team.
Our ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, and be able to work under pressure. You’ll have a passion for food, and take pride in your creations! The great thing about joining our kitchen team at Longleat is that you will have the chance to prepare food for our various catering units, be it a delicious pizza, a quick hot meal in our Tropical Storm Café, or perhaps a classic scone for cream team in our Orangery. We can provide you with full training if you wish to get into catering, or give you a new challenge. No previous experience is required as full training will be given, however experience working in a Kitchen role is desirable.
HOURS OF WORK
One of the great things about working for us is that we can offer hours to suit. We can offer weekend working with immediate positions available as well as up to full time hours in readiness for our busy festive period in December.
All our contracts are on a fixed term basis in which we pay We are offering competitive rates of pay, starting at #7.20 per hour for employee’s ages over 18, rising to #7.50 for employees aged over 25. This means you could earn around #300 per week during the festive period!
