An excellent opportunity has opened up at Homewood Park Hotel and Spa for a Sous Chef to join our kitchen team. As a senior member of the kitchen management team you will be expected to actively assist in the running of the kitchen on a day to day basis which will necessitate the delivery of consistent food products in-line with agreed recipes and standards of all menu items
ABOUT THE ROLE
You will assist in the running of the Kitchen on a day-to-day basis to support the delivery of consistent food products in-line with agreed recipes and standards of all menu items. You will be an exceptional team player with excellent communication skills, and manage the team in the absence of the Head Chef. You will produce staff rotas, and ensure all relevant compliance checks are carried out accurately and on time.
You will be passionate about working with the finest, freshest ingredients and in delivering quality dishes and products. You will have excellent communication skills, able to work under pressure.You will have the ability to lead and motivate a team as well as Artistic skills and eye for detail and a reliable and a trustworthy individual.
- Professional Chef experience
- Food Hygiene Certificate
- NVQ level 3 in Food Production and Cooking or Professional Cookery or equivalent
- Knowledge of the relevant Hygiene, Health & Safety guidelines
HOURS OF WORK
This is a full time permanent position working minimum of 48 hours a week 5 days out of 7. The hours of work will vary according to business needs and seasonal demand due to the nature of our business. A degree of flexibility is required including some weekend, evening and bank holiday working.
