This world famous site is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and reveals many fascinating stories of our prehistoric ancestors and is an International Centre for caving and rock climbing.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is an exciting opportunity to ensure effective day to day management of the operational aspects of Cheddar Gorge & Caves to ensure that all guests have an exceptional experience whilst visiting Cheddar Gorge & Caves.
This role is responsible for the line management of staff, building and contractors through their supervision in a variety of operational tasks and duties. Some responsibilities include guest engagement duties to ensure a high standard of customer service is maintained. You will also work with the Operations Manager in the development of new products and services that Cheddar Gorge & Caves could offer.

Our ideal candidate will have previous supervisory experience, ideally in delivering exceptional customer service within a leisure industry environment. A relevant leisure, tourism or hospitality qualification is desirable as well as any caving, climbing or adventurous actives qualifications.
You will be a creative thinker with strong interpersonal skills, as well as great organisational and time management skills to be able to confidently manage day to day operational responsibilities.

HOURS OF WORK
This role is a full-time permanent position, working 37.5 hours per week on a rota basis, with a requirement for on-call duties. A degree of flexibility required, including weekend and bank holiday working due to the nature of the business.
