Description
Elf – Customer Service / Performer / Actor / Entertainer

We are the astonishing kingdom of Longleat, an eccentrically British place of imagination and astonishing experiences. For over 50 years we have been one of the UK’s most loved attractions. With almost one million guests every year, we are passionate about providing immersive experiences that bring family and friends together to create memories that will last a lifetime.

We’re an organisation driven by our core cultural values, which are to engage and inspire, put people first, take accountability, continuously improve and to act with integrity. We believe everyone who works at Longleat can subscribe to these values, and that they truly set us apart as an organisation to work for.

What will this customer service focused role of Elf entail?

Over the festive period, Longleat turns into a magical place as our Festival of Light returns – with one of the main attractions being our long-established Santa express experience. The train departs from the Longleat railway station in the Main Square and travels past Half Mile Lake, with the highlight of the journey being the arrival at Santa’s snowy grotto deep in the forest; a truly magical Winter Wonderland.

As the guests arrive, you’ll be ready and raring to greet and escort guests up to Santa’s Grotto, ensuring guests have a magical, unforgettable experience! You’ll be thinking on your feet, entertaining and responding to the guests while they’re waiting to enter the Grotto. Once in the Grotto, you’ll truly be Santa’s little helper - welcoming the guests, overseeing their special time with Santa and ensuring the presents are ready to gift to the children.

Due to the daily schedule of trains, you’ll need to have strong time-keeping skills and be confident in sticking to a tight time schedule. You’ll also help with the preparation of presents and the whole grotto area to ensure it is ready for daily operation.
