Despite our established reputation, we constantly strive to educate, excite and inspire our guests – from hosting the UK’s largest ever hot air balloon gathering, to celebrating our Festival of Light; the first and biggest event of its kind in the UK, with a total of 3,000 spectacular Chinese lanterns transforming the Estate.
With so much on offer, it’s no surprise that guests to the park can work up quite an appetite – fortunately, the dedicated Food and Beverage Team are always on hand to deliver an amazing service and an exciting variety of food and beverages. During peak months, the team can regularly cater for approximately 8000 guests per day across multiple units. The recently opened 1.5m (GBP) ‘Chameleon Tree’ restaurant and coffee house offers guests wholesome, contemporary comfort food to suit every taste in a welcoming environment that can cater for up to 420 people at any one time!
What will this role of Chef de Partie entail?
Working predominantly from our state-of-the-art Chameleon Tree restaurant, as the Chef de Partie you’ll be responsible for preparing, cooking and presenting high quality and freshly made food. You’ll have the opportunity to meet, greet and inform guests about our amazing food, of which you’ll play an active part in developing by supporting the Kitchen Manager and Supervisors with creating new dishes and menus.
You’ll also maintain and clean the food production work areas and equipment, store supplies and undertake regular stock checks, ensuring that all stock is rotated and waste is kept to a minimum.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Chef looking for extra responsibility, as you’ll also be responsible for training and leading the Kitchen Production Team Members working with you.
What will I need to be considered for this Chef de Partie vacancy?
- Proven experience as a Chef
- Level 2 qualification in Food Hygiene and Level 2 Diploma in Professional Cookery (City and Guilds or equivalent)
- A flair with ingredients and first rate culinary skills
- Thrive in a busy work environment, with ability to remain calm under pressure
- Flexible to work extra hours / weekends as required
What will I receive in return?
Salary: Up to 21,000 (GBP) per annum, level dependent on experience

Contract: Permanent, 39 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7. Start and finish times will vary in accordance with Park opening times, however the park is primarily open during daytimes, so we offer a healthy work life balance for our kitchen roles.
Please note, due to the nature of the business evenings and weekend work will be required, including bank holidays.
