We are seeking a talented and experienced Interim Financial Accountant for a 12 month period to join our team at Longleat. This role is crucial in supporting the Finance team and the broader business, playing a key part in financial accounting, analysis, and compliance within our business.

Key duties will include:
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports accurately and in a timely manner.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insightful commentary on relevant areas.
- Assist in the production of Annual Settlement Statements and year-end reporting, collaborating with tax advisors.
- Support the annual Budget and monthly/quarterly forecasting process, producing budget numbers and loading them into the accounting system.
- Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are completed and maintained, collaborating with the business to resolve any issues.
- Provide support with debtor and creditor management, including the pursuit of doubtful debts.
- Produce ad hoc commercial and financial analyses as required.
- Maintain and complete P&L reports, Balance Sheet reports, cashflow reports, fixed asset registers, and charts of accounts.
- Assist with VAT submissions, PAYE submissions, Corporation tax returns, National Statistics returns, and other statutory reports
What will I need to be considered for this vacancy?
We are looking for someone who is at minimum a part qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA). You’ll have more than two years of commercial experience in an accounting role, and this role will suit someone who can hit the ground running and work independently. Ideally, you’ll also have experience submitting and liaising with HMRC, as well as a driving licence as you may be required to visit Cheddar Gorge & Caves on occasion.
What will I receive in return?

You’ll be employed on a 12 month Fixed Term contract, working 37.5 hours per week Monday – Friday from 9.00am to 5.30pm, and bank holidays as required.
